So Much to Say, So Little Time!

Afternoon Friends,

So I have to make this post super quick (or at least try) because I'm heading to Block Island for the night!

First up, check out this fan-tab-ulous giveaway from Principal Principles! Enter now and you could win an awesome Back to School Organizational Packet!!

Next up we have....this month's CURRENTLY! Can you believe it? Already?!

Because I'm in such a rush, this is going to be a short and sweet description:
listening: Nothing is better than Spotify for your comp! Free and has everything!
loving: I'm heading to Block Island in a few and I'm just loving it! Can't wait :)
thinking: School doesn't officially start until September, but with my new job and new grade, I have a lot of preparation to do!
wanting: I have super long, red hair (all natural!), but I want a change. I'm going to chop it off (not too drastically, just above the shoulders) and dye it brown. Everyone is so freaked out about it for me, but it's just hair!
needing: I haven't even seen my classroom yet so I don't even know what I can realistically do to it! I want to buy a rug and some furniture, but I have to assess the sitch before I do so.
b2s must haves: I'm a HUGE proponent of visuals! I love having my classroom expectations posted and prominent in the room. Routines are so important in my classroom, and this visual reminder serves as part of what keeps the routines intact. Also, ya gotta have a good, functional teacher binder! I'm in the process of making myself one, because...honestly, I can't afford one of those awesome Erin Condren ones. Also, always show up with a big smile on your face. All it takes is a smile to turn your day (or someone else's) around!

Join in on the fun by linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade!

I plan on linking up with a few more link ups this month (Mrs. Wheeler and Shifting Teacher...I'm talking about you!), but that's all for now!

Cheers,

  3. Hi Rae! I'm a fan of impulse hairstyles! My senior year my hair was three or four different styles and at least that many different colors through the year. I was even mentioned in a speech at graduation about my ever changing hair! lol! I'm sure it will be cute! Love your blog! I will be back to visit!

  5. Rae,

Colleen is in the same boat as you. She was just formally offered her new position today and still hasn't seen her classroom. Yikes!

Enjoy your time in Block Island. Will need to put that on my bucket list since it's only a stones throw away.
