100th Post, Linky Party and New Design!!!!

What do you think of the new blog design? I love it! I spent some time finding the one I love the most from Shabby Blogs! I also changed my button! Tell me what you think of it all!

It is my 100th post!!! I can't believe I have been blogging for this long! This experience has been so amazing and I have learned so many things from so many outstanding bloggers! I feel like my teaching has improved so much due to this experience and could not ask for anything more from it. It's hard to believe that this little hobby of mine would be such a passion :)

In honor of my 100th post, I will be giving away any item from my store! All you have to do is leave me a comment below telling me which item you would like to win, and I will choose a winner using a random number generator by Sunday at 9pm. Good luck!

Luckeyfrog's Lilypad is hosting a fun linky party. Link up to share two things that are working well in your classroom, and one thing you wish to change or improve for next year!
This year, I have implemented our Daily Warm Ups in our morning routines. You can find my previous post here. It has really helped me to assess specific skills while still allowing students to be independent. I love how easy it was to implement it into our morning routine. I plan to use it in the years to come! Check out the freebie below:

This year, I have really made an effort to provide all of my routines in a visual format. I have posters backed with magnetic tape that I bring out at the start of my major transitions (dismissal and morning), as well as provide individual checklists for students that are taped on their desks. This really helps with allowing kids to be mindful of their expectations while also increasing their independence. I don't have pictures yet, but am planning to write a post devoted to these transitions.

For next year, I would like to find a system to better organize which standards I am working on and which I need to work on more. I have just finished my first of hopefully several products devoted to Common Core Standards management (in this case a checklist to use for K-2 standards). I will be hopefully posting this soon.

Link up! I'd love to read about you stars and wishes :)

  8. Congrats on your 100th post, and thanks for linking up! :)

I would love to see photos of your visual routines. Most of my students are fine without them, but some of my kids this year really depend on visuals (especially one little one with Asperger's).

It's tough to keep up with the standards. I think for me, a plan ahead of time will work better than tracking after the fact... so I'm hoping to spend some time this summer making myself a standards "calendar" of sorts and a plan for reviewing them, too! :)

    Have a great week!

  10. Nice post. I learn one thing more difficult on completely different blogs everyday. It should always be stimulating to read content from different writers and follow just a little one thing from their store. I’d want to use some with the content material on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a hyperlink on your internet blog. Thanks for sharing.
